Four animated scenarios for the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD), teaching mine action groups and individuals about the risks of explosive ordnance. I developed the animation style and directed the project from storyboards and animatics through to final animation.

The first step was developing a batch of concepts to convey my vision to the client. I aimed for an art direction that suited the subject matter, kept the content engaging and easy to digest, and could be achieved within the project's timeline and constraints.

Storyboards shape movement and scene composition and give clients an early preview, so changes are quick to make. The client also asked for animatics: rough animations built from the storyboard assets, set to voiceover or music to establish pacing and feel.

With the animatic approved, it was time to bring the series to life. The final animations exceeded my expectations, thanks in large part to the trust GICHD placed in me throughout.
